I curious if anyone can provice information regarding the
Marklin Northlander. I've seen various prices listed on the
internet ranging anywhere from 495.00 to 2,100.00. Given that this
was a limited edition production how can I acertain it's true
value given that all are mint condition ? Also the age of this
model seems to range from 1987 to 1999.

Thanks, Miguel

Hi Miguel,all
There are 2 official versions of this set. Both where limited to 5,000 pieces world wide.
There was an unofficial version on the market for awhile,it was a repaint of another Märklin model and the paint is much darker than the official Märklin ones

Thanks, Kevin. What do you know about this particular Marklin Northlander ?

Model # 3071, production limited to 200, Nachbau der Firma
Schweiger, Nurnberg. Ausgabe 1987. aus original Marklin Teilen.

It comes in a box mostly red in coloration.

Any information would be appreciated.

Regards, Miguel

The Schweiger set is the unofficial version Kevin mentions. It is a "false" set with an ordinary repainted TEE train. Funny, it is still attractive on the collectors market...
