Hi Everyone, I've tried to search for this information on this forum and on YouTube without much success. On YouTube I've found a lot of information about car breaks squealing but this is not what I want.

Can someone please explain how to setup the CV's to get the locomotives, with this feature, to work.

Regards
Greg

Hi Greg
First the official Märklin video (alas in German) about the brake sound ("Bremsenquietchen") parameters on mSD3 decoders, using a CS3

Here is a technical paper on the same subject by Märklin
https://www.maerklin.de/fileadmi..._-_Bremsenquietschen.pdf

Among these:
- CV64 Bremsschwelle: the speed value to be reached before any sound brake can be heard when setting the speed to zero
- CV164 Bandbreite: The higher value, the earlier the sound will be triggered
- CV 163 Auslaufkorrectur To adjust the brake sound so that it stops when the loco stops

Additional adjustment value parameters
- CV 4 Bremsverzögerung (BV) Inertia simulation. The highter, the longer it takes to come to a stop
- CV 63 Lautstärke: general sound volume (impacts all sounds

The whole list of CVs by Märklin decoders is here
https://www.maerklin.de/fileadmi...mLD-mSD_CV-Liste_DCC.pdf

I hope this helps. Sorry for the German but often, translations are bizarre
Cheers
Jean
