Hello Malavika
On my 3015 (Koll's version10) there is no manual lever for direction change.
There probably has been on earlier models but around 1962, Märklin started to remove those levers for cost and detailling reasons.
In case you are interested, here is the exploded view diagram by Märklin where I cannot see any lever
https://www.maerklin.de/service/...r.php?artikelnummer=3015
Cheers
Jean

On the explosion diagram linked by Jean, look for #25 "Umschalter" close to the motor.
I assume that's the switch that chooses between catenary and centre rail.

Tom

You are correct but there is a vertical metal lever/bar that attaches to it and protrudes out of the bottom of the loco's body. On the diagram I think it is number 29. Marklin 208870

I only know about it because it was missing on my 3015 which had been modified for catenary only use.

Hi Kumar
As i said in my email, there should be a vertical bar that looks like a step painted red. I have not seen your loco in the flesh so maybe its missing if the previous owner removed it as they only wanted catenary feed. Send me a picture of both sides of the loco and i will point it out if i can

Regards Charles

And #29 is the lever which moves the #25.
