There probably has been on earlier models but around 1962, Märklin started to remove those levers for cost and detailling reasons. Joined: 02/02/2017(UTC) Posts: 694 Location: England, South Coast		You are correct but there is a vertical metal lever/bar that attaches to it and protrudes out of the bottom of the loco's body. On the diagram I think it is number 29. Marklin 208870 https://www.ebay.ph/itm/202659582218 I only know about it because it was missing on my 3015 which had been modified for catenary only use.

I have not seen your loco in the flesh so maybe its missing if the previous owner removed it as they only wanted catenary feed. Send me a picture of both sides of the loco and i will point it out if i can Regards Charles
