I have a M84 setup with addresses 125 to 128 using an ECoS. On addresses 127 and 128 I have 12v DC LED lights connected, both to the same power supply (a 12v DC 5amp). Address 127 only works with MM protocol and address 128 only with DCC protocol. Can someone explain why the different protocols as basically the lights are the same.

Regards
Greg

I don’t understand how you did get two different protocols on the same switch decoder? You can only use one protocol by choice MM or DCC.

DCC = Digital Command Control

Have you tried a decoder reset ? (cv 8), and initialised again using DCC ? (Dip switch 10 on)

I use my m83/84 decoders on a cs3 in Mfx/mm mode, so I don't have experience with ECoS.

Thanks for the advice, I checked that I had dip switch 10 on and I reset the decoder and now it works well.
