I had not seen these before,and took a chance at buying one,from the auction site.Seller declared it had been "serviced".
From past experience,I expected problems,and on arrival it was test run.All lights working,but would not move- I could feel vibration,with current reaching the loco.
From what I have learned here,the case was removed,and it was obvious the bogie pins had never been out,all drive gears were dry .
After a clean up of the bogie contacts and wheels with lighter fuel ,and oiling,it was put back together.Jerky running this time,so a second disassembly was done,and ran well after this ........
These locos run well at lower speed and are very controllable- although they sit higher than other locos.
The livery certainly stands out........
