Not sure where to post this, but I am looking for a reputable repair shop for Marklin locos and a turntable in the Philadelphia, Pennsylvania (USA) area.

All of my trains are analog, with three that either don't run at all (no power seems to be getting to the motor, but brushes, etc. look good and clean), another loco where the thin copper wire connecting one of the brushes is broken, and another that runs poorly and does not reverse.

I also have a turntable that turns in only one direction, and it does not align with tracks.

Any help is appreciated.

Thanks, and HAPPY NEW YEAR to each of you!!

Welcome Don! I only know of Modellbahn Ott in Boyertown. Do a search and see. He posted hourly rates for repairs and he's west of Philly. Analog models are far less complicated to work on. You can usually see where a wire has unsoldered from. Dried up oil can be a problem and excess carbon in the armature commutator. Easily remedied with a cleaning and lube. The old metal turntable is very durable and probably needs a new reverse unit or spring, or limit switch, and cleaning. I don't know about the track indexing.

Thanks!
I found them listed in Marklin's U.S. stores. They're website looks good, also.

Thanks again, and Happy New Year!

I need to add an addendum to this - they no longer service the trains. They do sell them, however.
They suggested a store Helmut's Hobby Specialties, located in Warrenton, Virginia.

Another possibility would be Robert Frowenfeld at RJF Trains. He lists as being in Katona, NY.

I can recommend Helmut's for your Marklin repairs.

Scott at Helmut's Hobby Specialties is very well regarded and held in high esteem by many people in this community.
Regards,
Jim

I have almost all Märklin and mostly HO, although I do have a small number of Z gauge trains!
So many trains and so little time.

"AC Eurotrains" has serviced a couple of my analog locos that had gremlins I was unable to resolve myself. I was very happy with their service, turnaround, and pricing seemed reasonable. Very carefully packaged for return shipment. They are in Stockton CA, so shipping costs might be a bit higher for you. They seem to be pretty busy, so it might take a couple of phone calls to reach someone.

No affiliation.
