Hi, I don’t know what’s up with my thinking, but I can’t get a single track to split in to four tracks using the normal 77,5mm spacing. Splitting to three is fine, but four I can’t figure out 🤣

Can someone please help?

BR,
Eino

This works in WinTrack:

Not tested with real track pieces.

Hi
I believe this is theory but with excellent track design, especially for a shadow station.

In practice the protuberance to host the lever and lantern on the red-circled switch bumps into the adjacent track (some surgery may be needed and the hand lever and lantern may have to go.

That is something I would like to use for the exit of my shadow station, but I am using M-track.
I guess using the 5140 curved switches should work as well there ?
Thanks
Tim

Hi Tim
M track geometry is very similar to C track WHEN RELATED TO the 5140 switches.
The big difference is you cannot practically saw (cut out) the extension because the solenoids and mechanism ARE NOT located under the track like on an C-Track switch.
Here is the best that M track allows
(extract of page 86 of the Märklin 0351 track plans (1961)

The bottom 5200 track may be replaced with another 5140 but you will have to manage the track spacing and track length

Thanks guys!

Just got a confirmation from a friend who actually have these tracks, that everything fits nicely together. No surgery needed.
