Märklin passenger car set 41326 era IVThe set has 1 cab control car BDymf 457, 3 rebuild cars B3eygb and 1 rebuild car AB3eygb. The cars are all separate in this set and coupled together with current-conducting close couplers. There is an mfx decoder in the cab control car that can be used to control the lights in the entire consist. There are also a couple of sound functions. The light functions worked well and there was no flickering in the cars. There was no issue with the electric connection through the couplers. The cars are nicely weathered and go together well with the Märklin 39651 Class 065 steam locomotive. However the rolling resistance is high in this car set, mostly due to the cab control car with its pick up shoe and two ground springs. I made a table that shows the performance on some locomotives. All in all this is a very nice set. The only real issue is the high rolling resistance that can be problematic on layouts with high grade slopes.

Nice Review, the rolling résistance is a fact. I use it without 1 wagon and then it is nicely pulled by the 065. Regards |
