Hello,

I was just wondering if any of you have come across a small portable vacuum to use for cleaning up the track on a train board after drilling holes for wiring, etc. I've been using my shop vacuum but it is cumbersome at times.

Amazon, look up “hand held rechargeable vacuum”
Vaclife was the brand name. I haven’t tried one yet but looked neat

I use a "eufy homevac H11". I think it works quite well although its charge only lasts about 30 minutes max.

I use a silicone/glue 300g cartridge nozzle with a bit of tube on the end to suck out drilled masonry holes. Would be ok for the model trains.

Have you thought about an air compressor. In our car we have 3 ARB air compressors 120lpm at 90 PSI (135 PSI maximum) have used it to blow out our Fuji xerox printer. Modified a garden hose for a 50 metre run from the car as I needed another 30 metres, and set it to 60PSI for the garden hose.

Compressed air and vacuum together works really well.

Can ever drop the after cooler in the fridge to condense moisture in the air more efficiently.

Woodland Scxenics makes a 9 volt one. I have it. It's not bad. Get's dust and fine particles well. Also scatter material grass, etc.LED light. No A/C adapter port though. I also use micro vac tools on my full size canister for bigger clean ups.

I use the Dyson Animal rechargeable vacuum without the wands. The crevice and soft brush tools are ideal for the model railroad.

I use an Eufy H11. Suction piece covers the track face. Good for general scenery areas but not good for tight spaces.

Adapted cartridge nozzles.

Don't run the vacuum too long in one go with restricted air flow as is needs air to cool the motor. Its duty cycle will be considerably reduced.
