I wish to access the decoder to determine the address and I cannot figure out how to remove the cover/chassis. I do not see any screw. Please help. Thank you.

There are two screws, one on each side top of the water tanks. Item 37068 br 80 manual is still on the Marklin site. It's from 2019. If the screws are not on the top, and yours has the older motor and frame, then they, or one larger center screw must be on the bottom. Some are on the cab bottom. and or under the fron buffer beams.

Hi, Sorry I've misread this at first, is the model # 33043? That is a 80 030 https://www.maerklin.de/...ts/details/article/33043If so the manual states the procedure to remove the body, two screws either side of the boiler under some plastic covers. https://static.maerklin....079eb2a2a91434541907.pdfIt is likely the address is 78, you could try that first before removing the body. If not the DELTA DIP switches can be matched to the manual pages to decode the address. If you are unfamiliar with those then please post a description/picture of the inside once opened.

Hi Sally As already started by our friends, the 2 screws to remove and hidden behind water doors on each water tank The manual is here https://static.maerklin....079eb2a2a91434541907.pdfSee page 15 for the Delta switch settings (only 4 switches) On my 2666 BR80 but black with an old digital decoder it looks like this Cheers Jean |
