Merry Christmas & Happy Holidays,

I tried connecting the two ends of the Marklin 7047 to the O brown and Accessory yellow plugs on my Marklin 6667A 16VA transformer and it won't turn on. Do I need to use the Marklin Switch 70749 in tandem with this to get the lamp to turn on?

Thanks for your assistance on this request.

Mike

If you connect one lead to the brown (return) and the other to the accessory plug, the light should go on.
One lead is connected to the tail of the bulb, the other lead is connected to the housing of the pole. The lead connected to the housing should be the brown and the lead to the bulb should be the yellow. This will minimize the risk of a short if the pole falls over and contacts the tracks.

If the bulb does not light up when connected to the return and accessories terminals or a 9V battery, check the wires and bulb for damage.

Regards
