1. V 60 with new motor and more AUX functions.

That will be to handle the wireless version of the ms2 that is known to be coming, along with new cabs for mfx+ locos.

Well, the new wireless control that is coming may be called an ms3, but I wouldn't count on it.

My ideas are: -
A coach set to go with the Albatros Surprise Loco.

The Messe loco will be either an Albatros or Br02, with a black and red paint livery. If it is an Albatros that will add to having a coach set to go with this loco.

I wonder whether Maerklin will put out models of the Halberstadt coaches (DR/CSD/MAV/DBAG, etc) to go with the Albatros.
If they don't, Roco makes some coach models which go with the Czech steamer.

I am wondering whether Maerklin is going to bite and announce models of the DB (ex-Westbahn) Stadler KISS trains and possibly also the SBB and other versions.
As those DB trains have just started running between Zurich and Stuttgart, that is in Maerklin's backyard. As a 4-6 coach unit, it is well suited for HO layouts.

I am sure that a brown SBB Ae 3/6 will be announced at some point.

I think that we can expect to see a few new models of the updated Vectron in new liveries (BLS Cargo, BoxExpress, Hectorrail, etc).

A new livery variant of the retooled SJ Rc class is also likely.

My last prediction will be Austrian (OBB) and other versions of the new BR 52 tooling.

Regards

Mike C

Hello!

According to confirmation from a store in the Netherlands, we will see the Koplopper again, this time of only 3 units that Märklin had never manufactured before

If they want to make more, they probably need to fix real passenger cars 1/87 because Rc5-6 are not build running like a freight engine.

Lets hope steam engine SJ F 1200 with some "new" old passenger cars.

Hello,
I would like to see a set of cars 1:87 for the Albatros. 2 blue, 1 red and 1 green. 1 or 2 more in any of the 3 previous colours.
If they do a BR 02 as Messe locomotive, I think it will be blue.
I also would like to see one, the same as 39241 but with synchronized steam (probably I will not be lucky about this in the short term....)
Maybe a BR 18.3 in green half streamlined as the BR02 with back buffers at NEM correct height.

Regards,
Miguel

When I was writing the post above I did wonder if the Insider car set for the Br01.10 might be a basis for this, but I'm not sure just what era the Albatros set should be.

Re 4/4I in red was recently released by Arwico/Piko. If Maerklin is going to release a new Re 4/4I, I would love to see a TEE version for the TEE Rheingold. So far, every TEE model has been the version for the TEE Bavaria with the modified pantograph for Austria/Germany

Hi,
I was referring to the G 12, like the 37586 but in the blue/grey livery.

Relative to the Lady C, yes, yes, I would like to see that one as you say, but probably the boiler is too much thin for the dynamic smoke device unit to fit inside. Just a guess....

Would like a wireless MS3 or wireless adapter/configuration for MS2. But a new MS3 with new features makes more sense.

As we have seen new models of P8/BR 38 and BR 78 in the last years, why not expect a new BR 86 to go on par with the Roco one ?
ESU and Piko have already issued simultaneously those BR 78.....with Ma Trix.

In fact...no!
Danish steam locomotive E 991 made by Märklin was produce for the danish state railway celebration 175 years.
For swedish customer we must wait until year 2031.

I would like a new Green Cargo Rc loco given with the new tooling. Perhaps more wishful thinking than a predicition, I'll admit:)

Like the one they did back in 2003 or so, 37412:

I did thinking about few more digital components for the layout and the CS3.
A new mfx switch decoder for the servo motor to use K-turnouts underbase?
Märklinist use servo motor too like to open locomotive shed doors (example).

I don't think Märklin has time waiting until any celebration 2031. It's more a celebration of Swedish railway museum in Gävle open up next year... E991 should not be possible without F for Swedish market.

I agree with you, they will not wait that long to amortise the tooling costs. They will have had this opportunity lined up as part of the justification for doing the tooling for the E991, with another loco a couple of years later.

Swedish railway museum has nothing to do with the Swedish railway state.
It´s two difference company.
Swedish railway museum take cares of the old trains which was in regular traffic before.
I don´t believe Märklin will produce Swedish F 1200 in year 2023.
More likely year 2031 when Swedish railway state celebration 175 years jubilee.

Everything doesn't need to be a big celebration and I think Märklin can develop something new if they want for 175 year.

Next thing you shouldn't do is to complicate to explain the difference between state own railway and the museum. For the model manufactory special Märklin dosent understand the difference between SJ AB and Green Cargo AB....

Swedish railway museum has nothing to do with the Swedish state railway traffic.
In fact does museum in Gävle only take care of the old trains and do sometimes museum special train travels.
You have in Denmark same reason with danish railway museum in Odense.

I think this is bound to happen, but it would be nice if they made the wagon decoder available as a separate item - that would be news to report, their equivalent of the ESU 5 fx series.

But what I am wondering is why one of the Koplopers is presented as a 39xxx item, while the other is a 37xxx. Normally there is a detail difference between the two series, with the 39xxx series items being the 'Rolls Royce' series, but I can't pick any feature difference between the two, and they seem to be the same price.

No. The Danish railway museum gets it's rolling stock from DSB, and is housed in buildings owned by DSB and / or BaneDanmark.

The museum also receives money from DSB and BaneDanmark every year.

The MY locomotives from the museum is even in charge of clearing snow from the Danish railways, since DSB doesn't have any
locomotives build strong enough to hammer a snow plough in to a big pile of snow.

( I don't know if this will change after DSB got the Vectrons, I don't know if they are strong enough. )

From some years ago 39 and 37, have no got got any differences... and now Marklin says that appears 38 numbers... The two Koplopers ara consecutive because 37425 and next is already caught and the easiest is take 39 with the same numeration...

In the past few years there is no difference per se between the 39xxx series and the 37xxx series.
There was a time when 39xxx indicated brushless DC motors, but those motors are no longer used. The brushless DC motors were primarily used for premium models, so they usually had more bells and whistles back then.

I have yet to get any museum cars, or Christmas cars. You can also get a Marklin factory photo car with your own photo on one side. Curtis was showing his on the Wednesday webinar that Rick had made for him on his last visit.

I’ve got the Museumswagen going back to the first I picked up back in ‘87, so I’m pretty much committed to keep the collection going.

Well, I hope this is not a sign of what is to come ...
https://www.modellbahn-kramm.com.../p/540/48030.002?lang=en
A new set of 48030 series wagons, two wagons for which you get five Euro cents change from Euro 150 ... Scared Scared Scared

This series of wagons used to be Euro 30-40 as individual wagons, and this pair are pretty plain, no fancy graphics, so I don't know if the price is being pushed for a limited series (500 units) or if this is reflecting price increases we are going to see in the New Items announcements.

Brawa has made BR02 with moveable third cylinder. I wish Marklin will release the first model which enables the third cylinder and rod to be functional.
