Hi Steve
Would this be helping you?

Don't forget the two diodes (regular 1N4004 or equivalent will do)
They are about feeding the transfer table motor in DC
Principle:
- the SPDT on the left decides which polarity,
- the one on the right gets the motor started

Cheers
Jean

Jean's shared schematics is the perfect solution to power an old 7294 transfer table in digital mode, using the AC transformer that also powers my similarly old turntable (providing each with power instead of decoder, but still shared ground).
Using Rocrail, I set direction with one k84 port ('rectifying' diodes for power controlling for/back motion) and table moving when other k84 port is 'on'.
Interestingly, the table only stops at bays when second k84 port switch is set 'off' after start of motion. Otherwise the table runs to the last bay and comes to stop.
This leads me to the next digital question: can one select/program the stops as opposed to just the next bay or end bays only?
Note that I am not using CS3 for operational control, but Rocrail software instead.

Hi Ben/All,

You can have full control with Rocrail, see article below on how I control the 7294 TFT with TrainController.
The principles to control the TFT will be very similar with Rocrail.

7249 Transfer Table Control

Hope you get some helpful ideas for your project.

Hi Ben, Ross and friends
I cannot be very explicit on having a transfer table controlled by Rocrail. I haven't done it but I only did it on a turntable (7286)
The little I know is:
- in Rocrail, turntables and transfer tables are managed using the Turntable command (ticking tranfer table)
- you must provide a table of tracks providing all details about accessing tracks (see below)

Table of tracks, for each access track, indicate:
- the track number (0 to n)
- the tranfer table sensor for the track
- the code to send to decoder to send the table to the track
- the number of the opposite track (if any)

The problem I had to deal was the optimization of the rotation direction (select the quickest way to arrive to destination track) finally solved by the decoder.

Here is the Rocrail page for traversers (tranfer table) https://wiki.rocrail.net/doku.php?id=traverser-setup-en

Here is a German manufacturer providing decoders for traversers: https://www.bmbtechnik.de/schalt...hiebeb%C3%BChnendecoder/

I hope this will help somewhat

Jean

That is some serious modification of a stock device. Impressive! Humbling my goal to add mere light to control cabin (rectified LED).

A Märklin video for using the turntable in digital mode, but not Rocrail. It is in German but the images are good enough and the CC option for translated subtitles will also help well:
