As I see it, unless I missed something, the only 3 way turnout for K-track is the Marklin 2270.

How can it be use, if it can, with a digital system be it CS3 or any computer program?

Yes it is and yes it can. What are you unsure about regarding its operation? 3 way turnouts have 2 motors - straight/left and straight/right and they are configured as such in CS2/3 or software (I use it fine with Rocrail)

I am under the impression that the operation is not digital straight out of the box having the solenoid already installed.

What do you use to make it digital?

It is controlled digitally just like any other K track turnout. You connect it to a K83, M83, or any other digital decoder designed for turnout control. The only difference is that it has 2 motors instead of one. So that decoder is connected to the CS3 as normally done and the CS keyboard has a 3 way turnout selected instead of a LH or RH turnout.

The turnouts themselves are not digital. They are either solenoid or servo motor driven. The decoders that drive these solenoids or servos are the digital component.

Thanks for the reply.

My confusion was stupid and came from the fact that this turnout is not offered without the solenoid. Confused
