Hey, all,

This is Thomas. I recently purchased a 3046 French heavy locomotive. It needs help, so I made it digital. The smoke unit works but is very old (1965??) and I am interested in getting a backup just in case the capillary gives up the ghost. I am not huge on the smoking unit, but I want it there just in case the kids come over. My problem is that this is the first "smoker" I have ever tried to "smoke" and I can not figure out which replacement would fit. Has anyone ever bought a smoke unit for a 3046 and if so, which one did you purchase? What should I look for in measurements? The pipe looks fine. The Capillary wire works, but could be pulled and use a good cleaning.... but it is old and I would like to have a backup just in case it breaks. Any help is fantastic. Take care, T

I believe the Märklin 7226 is the correct smoker.

Thanks, Tor. I looked everywhere and could not find this information. I was probably looking in the wrong direction. I just bought one. Thanks again, Thomas
