Hello,

I bought this engine on Ebay, it runs perfect using the old Marklin 32V controller forwards and back. I had bought this in a starter set to run my King Ludwig Set. Anyways I have found online and confirmed with a friend from the factory this engine was address 2. I tried this of course, attempted to reprogram engine to 2, hit the restore factory settings, attempted to change address to 24, back to 2? No luck getting it to run? I have sent a message to the seller, waiting for reply.

So do I try all addresses one by one? time?

Return it, or run it on the Blue Moon runs with the King Ludwig set?

I have already purchased 3 cars on Ebay for it to pull as well......

Advise?

Matt

If this engine is still fitted with the original decoder then to change the address you will need to follow the directions in the instruction leaflet to find the decoder (I think it is in the tender on this loco) and change the address using the small switches on the decoder. It may well have been changed from the original address.

You cannot change the address using the controller.
