Hi, I ordered a 1000/25 capacitance and got a double set on one pcb board. The other option was the 1000/50. If I need the 50, can I connect them both in series?

Hi there
I think you're mixing some terms here. Capacitance relates to capacitors and specifies the amount of charge a capacitor can hold. Ohms relates to resistors. I am not familiar with bridge rectifiers being specified with either, unless the PCB you mention is a combination of a bridge rectifier and some other components. Perhaps you can post an image of the PCB for us?

If you're feeding 16VAC into the rectifier, the output voltage will be 22.6VDC (16 x 1.414). If these caps are BEFORE the 12V Voltage regulators, replace them with the 1000uF/50V capacitors. If they are AFTER the 12V regulators, they will be fine. Connecting capacitors in series will halve the capacitance.

Thank you both! As I am terrible at uploading pics here, I'll decribe it. Two seperate full bridge rectifieres on one green board with a white seam between them. Not meant to be cut easily. I don't have a small dremel cut off wheel. Otherwise, the breaking board may also break the printed circuits.
4 black resistors on the A/C input side each, and the capacitor after to the right. A tan, brownm black and orange zenode diode at the top of each capacitor, and a red LED at each of the D/C output ends.
I'll wire up one to the motor. If it works, it is ok. If it doesn't, I'll wire in the second with it by combining the leads.
