Hi

Here is a coach (German Lorelei) with added end lights.
It is very simply made with 2 LED purchased on ebay Germany like these https://www.ebay.de/itm/38423574...2OC%7Ctkp%3ABFBMrPjpkJdg

- Pick 2 LEDs and indentify the anode and cathode by using a multimeter (Ohm position) and mark the + and minus wire (I use acrylic colors)
- Drill tiny hole (0.8 mm) where the location is intended and insert the wires through the holes
- Wire the LEDs in series (anode LED1 with Cathode LED2
- Wire in series a 2.2 kOhm resistor
- connect to a DC source in the coach or make one with a diode and a capacitor
- make a tiny box using strong black paper and make a 1.2 x 1.2 x 1.2 mm cube and glue it

The result is like this on a shirt coach (Schürzenwagen der DB in the 50s)

Note: the LED is so tiny that in many cases you may glue the LEDs to the wagon's case without and imitation lantern
Total cost: approx 5 EUR
I hope you like it

Like it. I have been using colored LEDs with rectifier and resistor, so just connecting to track power works. I have usually not added a capacitor, as the premade LEDs have only tiny soldering points after the rectifier.
