Among the most typical and well known Swiss freight vans are the hoppers used by the private gravel companies (original names) "Weiacher Kies", "Kies AG Wil" and "Kieswerk Hüntwangen". Liliput Austria and later Liliput-Bachmann have been manufacturing mass-produced models of these vehicles very successfully and without any serious competition since 1965 (!).

HOWEVER, now a surprise series of models has just been started by Swiss dealer EYRO of Interlaken in cooperation with Albert Modell. Take a look here (in German language, but can easily be machine translated):

I expect this project to become a big success and hope that more varieties will be released soon.

Thanks Stephen,
My first introduction to Swiss railroading came on a business trip to Visit Luscher Technologies back in probably 2004. The facility was right next to an SBB main line. Just as I got out of the car an Re 10/10 Came roaring by at speed with a string of these hoppers trailing behind. I fell in love!

Regards,
Roger

As expected, the sets are a big success. Therefore, the next two sets have been announced for pre-ordering (but not available yet). See today's Eyro newsletter, in German language but easily translatable: https://s3-eu-west-1.ama...2/rss/media/13610433.htm
