Confused Confused
Hi
I wonder if you can help me .
I have a large hornby 3 rail track set up and want to motorise my marklin 3 rail turntable 7186 which I have.
I was advised to get the 6915 which has cost me £240 BUT I haven't got any wiring diagrams for the 7186 so don't have a clue how to connect the 2 together - does anyone have
any experience advice please. I'm over 70 and a pensioner and can't afford to write this off
Thank you in advance

I have doubts that controller will work with the older marklin turntable.

I don't know where you got that advice - whoever told you that is misinformed in my opinion. The 6915 would work with a Marklin 7286 turntable which is the equivalent of the Fleischmann turntable that controller is designed to work with. The 7186 has a very different motor arrangement.

I think that the 7186 and 7286 are very similar the only differnce being that the 186 is 3 rail and the 286 is 2 rail - the connections look very similarConfused Confused

No. They are both 3 rail turntables. The older 7186 has 10 fixed exit locations, while the 7286 has 48 possible exit locations.

Hello Gus, all,

For information about the turntable 7186 see:
https://www.maerklin.de/...elnummer=7186&lang=1

A question to mr. DuckDuckgo gave this one as a result:
https://www.marklin-user...04-7186-Turntable-manual

Almost at the bottom of the page you find a post from Markus Schild with two files attached, I assume these answer all your questions.

Succes, Tony.
