I am new to the forum and I am looking for information on the circuit board of the locomotive wagon of the ICE3 (88714).

I have bought a faulty (burned out) one and I want to repair it but I need to "see" it so as not to make a mistake when repairing the tracks.

A picture would be enough and if it is of both sides, better.

I appreciate a lot your work.

Hello, welcome to our forum.

Have you reviewed the information from a similar post here back in 2012?

https://www.marklin-user...-train-work--model-88714 You may search this forum further to see if this has been a topic before.

I would not expect the circuit board to need work unless it shows damage. Does the board show a crack or does it seem to be missing something? If the motor was removed and connected to power, does it respond? It is possible the motor and board are just not making contact. The contact points are very small and it is not easy to notice the contacts are not connected. On most boards they are just small copper nubs which press down into where the motor brushes are. If not contacting the motor, it will not respond. Please keep in mind, this set may be like the 88715. requiring the other wagons to also be connected before it will run. I tend to expect a problem someplace other than the circuit board, absent signs of serious damage.

It is possibly a difficult request to fill, this is a rare set, and I will be surprised if someone has one and is able to get you the photo you want. We will have to wait and see.

Take good care.
