Ok Marklin has a numbering system for C-track that I understand but k-tracks is more a mystery

22xx means k-track (just as 24 mean C-track)
The third number is 0 = straights and 1-2-3-4-5 for the R (arc) R1-R2-R3-R4-R5, 6-7 for turnout

But what does the 4th number represent?

Hello,

I think the 4th number is more a rank than something else, even if this rank can provides -sometimes- clues on the length.

Example:
2200 = 180mm straight (1/1)
2201 = 90 mm straight (1/2)
2202 = 45 mm straight (1/4)
2203 = 30 mm straight (1/6)
2204 = 22.5mm straight (1/8)
2205 = 900 mm flex track
2206 = 168.9 mm straight (related to turnout 2262/63)
2207 = 156 mm straight (related to turnout 2262/63)
2208 = 35.1 mm straight
2293 = 41.3 mm straight
2209 = 217.9 mm straight (related to turnout 22715/716)

2231 = R2 curve 1/1
2232 = R2 curve 3/4
2233 = R2 curve 1/2
2234 = R2 curve 1/4
2235 = R2 curve 1/8

see attached pdf for geometry kgleis_20050512.pdf (1,015kb) downloaded 38 time(s).

Cheers
Fabrice

The 4th digit refers to the length of the track section, but there's no simple code that relates to anything easily memorized.

Any of the catalogues give the specific specification for each track section :-)

Ok I figured that there was something I was missing. The C-track number were definitely thought out better.

Yes a catalogue is always not far but simpler is always better, too bad I like K-track better than C-track.

Hope you all had a merry Christmas.
