Unlike Marklin HO scale, the Z scale trains are still in analogue times and do not have the luxury of a locomotive generating sounds. So I explored and purchased recently, two Busch module sound generators, one #5770, called "Universal sound" and the other #5771 "Town and Country." Once you figure out how to program the modules, you can create sequential sounds, like train platform announcement, followed by a loco horn, then train moving out of a station, etc.

Both modules run off the Marklin 32V transformer (yellow and brown terminals). The instructions for these modules are in German only, however the Google translator does a good job in rudimentary translation to English.

I posted videos of the two sound modules on YouTube. Here is a link to YouTube video:https://youtu.be/mNfNE0DwTZo for Module 5770 and for Module 5771

Happy Holidays!
