Firstly for the native english speakers keep focused on this as a sound decoder setting and not think about balletic swimmers at the Olympics.......

I have read the post about installing an MSD3 in a Bigboy and that shows me the pad on the MSD3 to put the input on, the bottom corner one of the adaptor board if I've got it right.

My question is the model of Hall effect sensor which would work. I suspect I could order a Marklin spare part but that is probably not the cheapest route especially with P&P for a small order.

I can see that in Gauge 1 a magnet on the wheel should be easy to arrange and simple to get the timing right.

I have run the MSD3 in a Maxi engine and with Bimmelbahn loads and speeds it works well for a reasonable cost.

I don't think the MSD3 has the motor revolution counting function a Loksound 5 does only a cruder guesstimated version, is that correct?
