I started wiring up all my switch tracks. I did one at a time and they were all working . I used quick connects between the switch track and the switch . I had to disconnect then at the qucik connects to drill a hole in the table for more wiring . and when i reconnected my switch tracks to the switches some of the tracks were only working one way . why did this happening? are the solenoids over heating? and just stop working or it it something else?

Thanks

could be for many reasons. Eg:

wires not connected properly again
solenoids being left on and burning out. They are only supposed to powered for a very short time (less than a second)
electrical switches not making contact

I haven't played with my Marklin much in the last 2 months, and last night one or two of my points worked only one way. It took about 20 presses back and forward to get them working properly again. I put this down to lack of use in my case as all were working ok when i last checked. I have 26 sets of points in my M track. Could this be your problem.
