I am struggling to solve the addressing for S88 feedback modules as sensors in RocRail.

I am using link S88 using bus 3 so addresses start at 3001.

In the setting interface screen for sensors there is a node ID. Is this the ID for link S88 in settings on the CS3. In my case it is 2.

Then how do you calculate the address itself? For example I have address 7 in my first module of 16 addresses. So is the address 3001 +7 that is 3008?

Some comments on the problem would be appreciated.

The CS3 is connected to RocRail and trains run normally. The CS3 has all the S88 sensors working as well.

Problem solved using the sensor monitor and renewing the licence for RocRail.

To calculate the sensor address to those on the CS3.

On the CS3 a sensor address of 4.14 would in Rocrail be:-

(14+((4-1) * 16)) = 3062

Hi John
Rocrail never tied a licence to the good functioning. I don't say you shouldn't help Rocrail if you are satisfied.
Perhaps you mean loading a newer version?
Indeed the sensor monitor function is very helpful to detect the address sensor bloc (Control / Sensor Monitor)
Yes the address calculation is a bit tricky with a Link 88 (Trickier than with old 60880 and a CS2
Cheers

Hi Jean

All I know is that before the licence was renewed the sensor symbol on the track plan would not work.

Now it does after loading the new licence file.

I am using the latest version of Rocrail downloaded last week but using a previous workspace.

The sensor monitor was so useful to check the addresses

Regards

John
