Marklin 3031 Repair - Reversing unit not working

Joined: 15/08/2017(UTC) Posts: 25 Location: New York, New York City		I Have a Marklin 3013 and the reversing unit is not working the engine wont move but the lights come on and it hums. Thanks for any help you guys are always the best.

Joined: 18/11/2008(UTC) Posts: 477 Location: Oakville, Ontario		The contact on top of the reverser is bent upwards - the point is supposed to touch the pad between the solder joints near the light bulb. I'm afraid if you bend it back it will break (been there, done that) so I would look for a replacement reverser if you want to stay analog. See the following thread for a discussion on this locomotive's reverser. There are photos of what it should normally look like. BR81 Problem Hope this helps, Harold.
