With power on the transformer my 3075 locomotive only operates at one speed and does not respond to the rheostat increasing or decreasing. The rheostat knob does appear to work, because the lights connected to the transformer will dim and brighten with the rheostat movement. Anyone know how to fix this problem? Thanks!

I hope I'm not insulting you, but it seems you may have the yellow and red wires mixed up. Red and brown are track power and react to the rheostat and yellow and brown are constant voltage for the lights and accessories.

Agreed John, but I read it as other lights hooked up to the transformer not the locomotive lights. Will have to wait for clarification from the original poster.
