Blink Hi all. New at this. Just received a 3582 diesel loco, runs very slow (moved potentiometers to max) and do not know how to run in reverse.
All my transformers are old stile an in metal old track.
All my other locos need power burst for reverse action.
Any ideas?
Thx

The 5 star system has a lot of problems. If we count ant the years (more than 30) there is no solution.

For me all the 5star motors are good for the waste bin.

Convert it o digital with 60760 and you can have a beautiful loco who runs also on analog - but unfortunately the the blue transformers are very dangerous for the decoder

Hi!

35xx locos are analogue locos and theoretically require the power burst to change the direction.
Maybe the electronics inside the loco failed. A motor upgrade and a cheap decoder are probably the best option.

I do not agree.
I have a single 5* (V200.1), and it is one of my my best runners.
It runs as well as my new MFX locos runs digitally on an MS2. And better than them, on analogue!

Sorry but the 5star systems are analogue and can't run on a digital system.
May be inside is something else

I´m not sure what you are commenting on here, but my whole layout is analogue old-school.
I run a mix of old and new locos on it.
In order to test out (and CV-tune) new digital locos, I have an oval running digital with an MS2.
Of course I am not running my anlogue 5* loco on the MS2, which seems to be what you think I was saying...

The next time you want to toss a 5* in the bin, send it to me instead! ;-)
