How weird nobody answered. I am asking myself the same question today. Also I am trying to find out the ESU coupler number part to try on some other Märklin lokos.

Perhaps no one is sure. I'd ask ESU directly then,or Marklin, or the digital club dudes. Then again, both makers say their products aren't homologated with another brand.

Unfortunatly I can not find any spare part list or product number for the electrical uncoupler., however there are suitable telex couplers from Märklin and Roco.

The answer is no!
ESU digital coupler are magnetic and Märklins short couple are metal some of details.
You need short coupler made of plastic.
Such like Roco.
