Are you sure you have the correct catalogue number? This page https://www.reynaulds.com/products/Marklin/37047.aspx suggests it is a different class of loco for that catalogue number.

[edit]
OK, it looks like it is being called by two class numbers https://www.jb-webshop.de/Maerkl...class-5040/054-of-the-DB

The information you are looking for is on the Märklin website:

https://www.maerklinshop.de/SpareParts/index?iBrandId=1&sSearchWords=37047&submit=search+in+shop

Betriebsanleitung = Instructions 37047 Instructions.pdf (7,524kb) downloaded 29 time(s). (all languages)
Explosionszeichnung = Exploded View 37047 Exploded View.pdf (808kb) downloaded 30 time(s).

Good luck with the cleaning. Cheers,

Harold.

Hi
If, like me you have difficulties to access the link in Harold's post try this one:https://static.maerklin....2dca02e4fe1434541905.pdf
Nice loco this Franco Crosti but also strange. Very efficient loco but very rusty too which led to not using this technique.
Cheers

If its only that loco and not others, just clean its wheels and the slider springs. Don't need a manual to do that.
