Hi I have been a member here for years and watch things from time to time.
I came to the conclusion its time to get out of the hobby. Not happy but we are building a home in Florida and with no basement just won't be able to setup. The humidity in the Garage would be bad.
So the question to the forum. What is the best way to sell of a collection. By the piece? Lot? Ebay? or where?
Any help or suggestion would be helpful.

Selling by the lot is easier if you can find someone who will purchase the lot, but you will most likely not realise the full value of your collection as it will most likely be someone in the trade who purchases your stuff and they will want to make a dollar on it.
Selling items individually on ebay will bring better returns but means a lot more work for you in managing all the auctions and sending stuff to buyers.
Your choice really.
Your options are:
- sell on ebay or other auction site - sell to a trader or club who can buy everything - sell via an auction house, but you will most likely only get 40 - 50% of the value - list items on this forum - keep them in case you regret selling your items.

Auction house is your worst option, I sold some items 2 years ago and it wasn't great.

I would wait a while until the epidemic is over and people have money in their pockets again., the return value for your collection depends on what you've got and condition, sometimes thought after collection items would be better offered under an auction option whereas everyday items sold on ebay as "buy now" otherwise you could find yourself your items sell for peanuts., sometimes it helps also to advertise your items in your local paper or other selling forums or you list your items on this forum under "for sale"
