I’m mixing different single shades trying to get that perfect color mix. I think I may have a mental illness.

You should be contacting a colour mixing expert and get their opinion, I wouldn't rush to a psychiatrist just now

ha ha funny. Yes all this stuff indicates a mental illness of a sort!

Note, when you get the color that you and your psychiatrist agree on, take care not to plant grass that is even half the height of a Preiserling!

Hello 57vert,

I think I found out why you're having this conundrum with the grass and I hope that I’m wrong! You're looking for that perfect blend right? Are you also smoking it? Please don't smoke the grass it's the weed that you smoke!

I would wait until winter and than you don't have to worry about grass, is it greener on the other side ?.

Its been all yellow/brown around here for quite a while [ not shown in your chart ], but the rain has come and its turning green [ no. 1 -1 on your chart ie top left ] but with the brown edges and patches in places.. Different grasses have different colours, and the weeds, well anyones guess. Looks too artificial if you use just one colour or if it looks too even with the different flecks. Just chuck it around and see what happens. Thats what mother nature does.

This reminds me of a picture of a Japanese garden where the young gardener had just raked the sand into a perfect look. He told the old gardener how perfect it looked and the old guy said no. He then rolled a 70 mm stone across it and said thats perfect.

Dave, you wouldn't have by any chance a feed & weed, if you feed the weed first you shouldn't have any complications.

Basically anything for the lawn is available. Along with Faller I have produced an automatic mower which zooms around on its own. Requires a Faller motor which is extra. All layouts deserve this/. Just need your bank details before faxing the unit too you.

Take care I like Marklin and will defend the worlds greatest model rail manufacturer.
