Question for the Märklin Signal users.

When you set up the new Märklin signals and you have it set for a red light is there power on the track for sound or no power at all?

Hi Michel,

I am using the 764xx series. Very easy to programme and recognised by my CS3 due to MFX decoder, but red light = no power in the track.

Meaning no sound or smoke when the light is red?

I'm suspecting that is the case (no power) because in the installation manual for the signals on page 37 is the instructions on how to install the signals with a braking module eg 72442.

The article ( https://www.maerklin.de/...igital_MM_2015_03_04.pdf ) in German, also states that when the signal is on red (HP0) the isolated section is without power.

So if you want the SIGNAL to control the train, you get full stop/off with just the signal, and slow stop w/ power using an additional braking module. Not sure why they don't just build the braking module into the signal decoder as an option you can turn off/on as a CV so the analog folks can still use it.
Toys of tin and wood rule!

I use Märklin digital signals by set DCC protocol and use mfx by let CS3 search mfx article.
You need just go to configuration if you want to change value about signals.
It works fine and don´t need to use programming track.

DCC = Digital Command Control
