Hi,

Last year I did a little test track on my floor with four sensor tracks and three points with embedded decoders. All fine, on the CS3 track plan, the tracks went yellow when the train went over them.

Now on my actual layout, I can't get this to work. I'm also not sure if the latest update has changed the way the screens look.

I don't find this very logical, I've looked in my Marklin Digital book and at Youtube videos, but the sensor tracks don't go yellow. I have now tried putting my test light on the contacts, so there is definitely current flowing, but still nothing. Oddly, if I connect an S88 AC, I get some really strange behaviour. (*)

Anyway, looking at documentation, I am supposed to add sensors as GPF3-1, is that correct? Not "Controlling contacts"?

And is there really no way to see what's connected? Under "Network" none of these devices show up. It's not very helpful. I have also been playing around with "Bus length", but is there something else I need to check?

I just don't get how it just worked on my floor setup last year...

(*) Two contacts, Bus 1 - Module 1 - Contact 1 and Bus 1 - Module 3 - Contact 1 but respond to contact 1 and 3 being shorted out on the S88 AC. But they flicker on the screen. Both go out, then one comes back, then the other comes back.

Thanks

Hi,

It works now... I think, but I'm not sure, that I had the link cable going in the wrong direction. The < is pointing back towards the CS3...

Thanks
