I see in the CS3 where you connect patch cable there is metal connection for the patch cable.
But the question is what kind patch cable do you use to connect the CS3, shielded or unshielded?

Whatis on the other end of the patch cable? You do not say what you wish to connect to. The various connections run at different speeds, and shielding requirements will differ according to the speed.

Hi Goofy

I think the cable shield is not connected to anything (look in the S88 and in the Link88, the piece to host the Ethernet connector has only 8 contacts for the 4 pairs and is made of plastic.
So, IMO, the cable shield is of little use so why not go for an un-shielded cable (unless the price is similar).

I did checked after answers in google.
Yes it will be fine by use unshielded cable too for the Ethernet.
