I'm going to build a mixed track layout complete with the M track switches, C track switches and other items such as uncouplers. Do I need a M83 or M84 to drive the M track switches? Or can I wire up the switches to my blue transformer power outlets without burning something expensive. Such as my MS2 and digital switches? John.

Hello,

If you want to operate the turnouts in analogue mode, you can do so by connecting them to a Märklin or other desk and the corresponding 16 V AC transformer.

If you want to operate the turnouts digitally, you must use a Märklin or other brand of decoders K83 or M83.
It doesn't matter if they are M-track or C-track turnouts.

Greetings and Merry Christmas
