With the digital system, I understand that it is possible to know how long a locomotive has been running, someone could tell me how I can know how to do that. This information is very useful to know when the locomotive should be serviced.

Hello, I've never heard this kind of feature is embedded in Marklin CS2; For the CS3, I don't know... However, I know external software like RocRail are able to manage it. For example, see https://wiki.rocrail.net/doku.php?id=loc-gen-en , field "Run Time" I suppose other software of the same class (TrainControler, iTrain, and others) have the same feature. Other members may provide more accurate answer. Cheers fabrice

MTH ProtoSound decoders accumulate time and distance if you have one of those. |
OneGauge Marklin and MTH, ESU ECoS 2.1 on LGB tracks. MTH 3-rail 0-gauge, DCS on GarGraves tracks. Z: Rokuhan tracks, analog or DCC+TC Gold. |

I have a CS2 and have never heard about or found this feature. However, as Fabrice has pointed out in his reply, I get this information through Rocrail.

Hi, I wrote my software myself and included this feature: It gives quite some insight. Some decoders capture this info as well, for instance ESU. You can access the info through Lokprogrammer. But I do not know what is the definition of active: Actual running or only enabled. Best regards, Gregor
