My old CS2 was showing an overload. Checked the track and connections etc then disconnected the track and S88s and the CS was still showing an overload. Switched off and tried another transformer (Power pack) The CS now starts with the stop light flashing and blank screen.
It is now more than ten years old and my new CS3 runs almost all the layout and the CS2 does not really owe me anything after all the years of working but would be interested if anybody can enlighten me as to the cause of the failure.

Take care I like Marklin and will defend the worlds greatest model rail manufacturer.

Well, if you get to throw it out then throw it my way. It may have had a failure similar to what happened to alan's one that I managed to fix.

Very simple!
You did used your CS2 and one day it´s failure soon or later.
This happens so for everybody.
It´s just like a lamp bulb after 5000-6000 hours lighting finally it´s over.

Ok. Will advise the date of the funeral for the CS2. No flowers just send locos and coaches. Long live the. CS3. Plus.
