Can anyone suggest a dealer, preferably in the U.S. (because of shipping costs) that carries a large and fairly complete stock of Falller HO kits. I have contacted a company in Montreal, Quebec, which seems to fill the bill. Unfortunately they do not respond to e-mail in a timely manner. Right now I am interested in trackside Yard buildings and steam facilities for Era 1 and 2.

Thanks, Dick

Eurorail Hobbies is in Canada. They have a very complete selection and their website is user friendly.

Try Bill Ott. (www.modellbahnott.com) I was just in his store this afternoon and he has quite a few Faller, Kibri and Vollmer kits in stock. He may have what you are looking for (the site shows stockage, so you can tell if he has it)

Walthers @ http://www.walthers.com. You might also want to consider Auhagen's (http://www.auhagen.de) kits, especially if you are modeling northern Germany. They are much better detailed and prototypical in scale, i.e. 1:87. Their prices are also very reasonable. Euro Rail Hobby in New Jersey sells them. See them online @ http://www.eurotrainhobby.com/.

You should check the prices at the German stores. Most carry good stocks of Faller. Faller is the right choice providing a great selection with good detail. Also look at Vollmer and to a lesser extent Kibri.

David
Take care I like Marklin and will defend the worlds greatest model rail manufacturer.

Another obvious choice would be eBay. My Dad peruses eBay for buildings all the time. You can get good deals there, and they also sell buildings that are all built-up already. With me not being the Bob Vila of model structure building, I prefer the buildings all built-up. biggrin Also, you can get some reasonable rates from eBayers and they normally ship within the United States and I have purchased the vast majority of my buildings on my layout from eBay. I have also made some very valuable friends via eBay, and I sell model railroad equipment as well as buy on eBay. I am currently selling-off all my old O-gauge tinplate equipment I have amassed over the years to make room -- and funding -- for my new Marklin layout, and I am very happy with the results. I hope this will help. Good-bye for now. Sincerely: Night Train
