3514 conventional reverse unit - Faulty conventional reverse unit

Joined: 23/01/2007(UTC) Posts: 35 Location: Johannesburg,		Has anybody experienced the failure of the conventional reverse unit on the 35xx class C steam locomotives? The relay buzzes, not what should be a single click when the reverse voltage is applied, the lights change direction, the locomotive does not run. I have disconnected the motor and run it free from the locomotive. The motor runs perfectly. What component has failed? Any answers please?

If a component is fried on the electronic board, you can try to replace it, or upgrade the locomotive to digital.
