Hi

I have Marklin BR 78 440 nr. 55077 who works fine except for the cylinder exhaust. It smoke little - almost nothing. I have read the instructions about overflow smoke fluid who interrupt the cylinder smoke, but I have not turned it upside down or overfilled it but it had some fluid in it when I got it. So I do not know.

Is it some way to fix this problem? Clean it up or something? Keep on running it? Please give me an advice.

Torstein

Solution: A little air pressure in the cylinder valves clean them and fix the problem.

Have fun.

Torstein,

Did you use Marklin smoke fluid?

I'd say you have two options (my opinion here): Option one is to use a pipette to draw excess smoke fluid out. The other option is to wait- the smoke fluid evaporates fairly quickly.

Not sure about just running it. I can imagine that if the ventilator (fan) is in fluid, it could do damage. If the smoke just wisps out the issue is likely already the fan, which may not be turning.
