It looks like a nice clean example. The box is in a very good state.

It's really surprising to see this. There is so much wrong with the auction - and yet the price keeps going up. Even from the title - a first version but with the date 1949?

So many possible replica parts - pantographs, box, instruction sheet, probably the frames, end buffers, etc. the list goes on. And then none of the parts are even correct for a true first version. At first, I would think there are some "games" being played with shill bidders as we see other sellers do. But there are several bidders with high feedback so it's a little puzzling.

For reference here are some other (questionable) first versions lately on eBay (ended):

https://rover.ebay.com/r..._trksid%3Dp2047675.l2557

https://rover.ebay.com/r....de%2Fitm%2F223434315604

And from the same seller another "first version" - coincidently with similar replica parts! that sold for nearly 8.000 EUR:

https://rover.ebay.com/r....de%2Fitm%2F292839384474

We can see some of the same bidders on both locos :-)

Me too.

Three years ago aprox a CCS800 "Partially" (50%) restored with Ritter's component was sold by 7500€.

Kolls 2018 lists the approximate value of the CCS800 first version at "(6500)" Euros. Note the value in parenthesis which Kolls uses to indicate that due to few or no sales during the previous year the price can not be stated with any certainty and is merely a conservative estimate.

The box for the CCS800.1 offered in the eBay auction, is, according to a collector in Germany who has owned this version before, not original. The version 1 original box did NOT have a wood insert, but rather a cardboard separator made of the same material as the box.
