Hi
There is a rare HR700 with the cow catcher on US ebay at the moment. It's in terrible condition without a tender. I believe the seller does not know how rare this model is.

Also some photos. It has been spotted as the price is north of US$500.

As a matter of interest what do the forum think the ultimate winner of this rare model can salvage. I have checked Ritter and he does not supply new boiler castings. Some the loco looks to be pretty good and there would be some good spare parts. Does anybody think that this could be salvaged. I know that the German restorer who's name escapes me can replace bits like deflectors and sides of drivers frame. I would be assuming that the boiler casting would be very fragile and likely break even more if cleaned or handled.

Hi Roger,

Most likely everything can be saved except the housing and outer frame. Those can be replaced with original parts to fit. The Fahrwerk (chassis) actually looks okay and it could be possible to get it running. All that is really valuable here is the cowcatcher - which can be put on a correct original loco in good condition. Most collectors do not care that it wasn't the "original" loco that cowcatcher was on as long as it is all original.

Wow indeed a expensive model. I did not know either. But ebay told me what's about with this loco.

If you are looking for a tender. Not cheap either.
