Hi Everyone
I am returning to modelling after nearly two years of various issues, health etc and need some help.

I have found that several of my Marklin boxes have the clear plastic window coming loose from the cardboard box, does anyone know the best way to repair them? I could use sticky tape etc but a cleaner finish would be best.

If you could let me know that would be great!

Many thanks

Harry

I use UHU for sticking clear material into HO house windows (Faller - Auhagen kits).

Hi, I worry the glue will spread everywhere, but I will give it a try.

Many thanks

The original boxes had the plastic foil glued in place by some glue which was applied to the box or window foil in a thin strip which did not ooze past the edge of the plastic.
I have seen some old boxes with magic scotch tape (does not yellow like classic tape), but it does detract from the collector value. I guess some kind of glue would be the best way.

I would use the ‘scotch magic tape’ mentioned above, I think it’ll look neater.
Must build something

That is what I have done with mine. It looks OK and keeps the boxes more or less original, while still letting you use them.

Jim

I have almost all Märklin and mostly HO, although I do have a small number of Z gauge trains!
So many trains and so little time.
