Hello all, I am 80 yrs old & need to sell my collection (never run trains or built a "Railroad") would appreciate advice. A kind member of a club I was with connected the 2 units & we run the rig a couple of times. I shifted miles away & have no idea how to take them apart so I can re-box them? (terrified I will damage them) any advice will be much appreciated.

Hello Jim,

Sorry I can't include pictures at the moment, but perhaps you can do with the following:
1. Open the 37610 unit (road number 600): the hatch in front of the fan on the roof can be removed by pressing down on it at the side of the fan. Then remove the screw that is located under the hatch. You can now lift the body from the underframe.
2. At the back of the frame, loosen the screw in the tension reduction for the cable set leading to 49610, then unplug the cable set from the decoder.
3. The trickiest part is uncoupling the two units; you'll need to press the ends of the coupler hook coming from 49610 together to be able to push it out of the pocket on 37610.

If you like, I can add pictures tomorrow.
