Hello all,

How can I extend a one side isolated segment Märklin 24995 connected to a S88 input for train detection on the segment by adding C-track elements between the two 24995 elements without cutting (destructive operation)the ground connector on one side of the track connectors?

Is there a reversible and non-destructive method available?

If I have no other choice, any feedback about layouts running with only one side track connected to the ground and the central track to power? Any trouble ? Any suggestions ?

Thanks for your replies,

Bernard

Hi,
cutting the connections between the rails in each end of a C-track, IMHO isn't wery destructive. It's intended by the design of the track, it's easy to do, and it might be undone again by just soldering or connecting with cable shoes and a short cable. So, that's the way to go.

Lars Westerlind.
