I have a MS3 plus controller which operates the mfx locos I have perfectly on a simple loop test track. I placed a loco 3473 (Delta) on the test track on its own with the controller speed set as zero . The engine immediately roars off at top speed with no control using the MS3 plus controller. Can anyone suggest a solution to obtain control? Cheers

Hi John,

Welcome to the forum.

The 3473 has a decoder without automatic recognition of the operation mode. It has a small dip-switch on the decoder. When all the switches are in "off" position it is in conventional-AC-operation mode. This will show the effect you describe. Open the body of the loco and check the dip-switches. Google with "märklin delta adressen" finds the tables with settings for the dip-switches.

Regards

Markus
