Hi, Marklin has made a lot of different passenger cars with interior seating both open and compartment seating. Has Marklin ever made seating for smaller passenger cars? or for tinplate cars?
or has someone made seating for the old tinplate cars?

Hi,

No, Märklin did never make interiors for these cars. But you can print it yourself: https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:2772735 . Or ask someone with a printer to print the parts.

Marklin did make sets of seats for their tinplate bogie coaches, and these can be used for the 4-wheel coaches too, discarding the toilet compartments and a couple of rows of seats. This is the 0222 set which you can still find on eBay occasionally.

You can also try the 0223 set or the 0224 set. These are intended for different types of coaches.

Elsleuth1,

Those interiors look good. I was planning to do the same thing and also found those exact Thingiverse files. Did you print any with the washroom in the middle (the file you show in post #6)?

Cheers,

Harold.

Yes I printed some with the washrooms but they wouldn't fit into the cars. Too tall. I had to cut them down to make them fit. You may also need to cut the sides down as well. It is a very tight fit. Also there are little metal prongs that need to be bent back inside the car so the seats sit toward the bottom of the car. The 320/1 cars are harder to fit. In any case I like the white because the passengers stand out more. I'm still working on detailing the cars and adding remote controlled led's. Love the look. Let me know how they work for you. 20190203_142709.jpg20190203_142642.jpg

Hi,

I made a special interior for the compartment - cars: https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:2882443 .The seats of that interior match the windows.
