Documentary looking back to the glory days of steam

Best comment on the demise of steam I ever heard

"Yes......BR decided steam had to die.......and two years later the OPEC oil crisis arrived! We were sitting on 300 years reserves of coal. What a great decision that was!! My grandfather, a steam locomotive engine driver, said that it was a judgement on BR for removing steam too early. I agree!"
